Tarra Waker has over 20 years of experience in the customer service and hospitality industry. After earning her GED, she pursued studies in Human Services and Early Childhood Development. Although she did not obtain a formal degree, her passion for community service, youth development, and helping others flourished. She served for several years as a Community Coordinator and Criminal Justice Chair on the NAACP Board of Chapter #3201. Tarra aspires to become an author, philanthropist, and full-time entrepreneur. In her free time, she enjoys learning, traveling, and cherishing moments with her family.
Tyaisa Henry – Treasurer
Tyaisa Henry has more than 20 years of experience in Business Management and Accounting, passionately assisting small minority businesses in achieving their operational and financial objectives. She has a strong commitment to community outreach and is dedicated to inspiring today’s youth to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Executive Director
The Executive Director is crucial to the organization, requiring leadership and profound dedication to our mission and vision. This role entails assuming the Director’s responsibilities during their absence, collaborating with the Director to develop and implement strategic plans, setting objectives, and equipping programs and staff with the tools and support needed to thrive. The role includes overseeing fundraising efforts with the Outreach Coordinator, establishing budgets with the Treasury, managing finances, and developing financial policies in conjunction with the Director and Treasury. Additionally, it involves passion and compassion for our youth.
Secretary
The secretary’s role involves scheduling and sending board meeting notices, preparing and distributing agendas, and taking detailed minutes. They accurately record votes and key points, securely store official documents like contracts and bylaws, and update and maintain membership lists. They also archive minutes and important documents, distribute minutes promptly, and communicate updates to the board. They manage & monitor compliance with state regulations, non-profit laws, ensure proper documentation for legal filings and annual reports. Additionally, it involves passion and compassion for our youth.
Outreach Coordinator
The role demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong abilities in community engagement and relationship building. It requires a passion for working with children and families, as well as the ability to plan and execute outreach events. Familiarity with local community resources and demographics is essential, along with proficiency in basic marketing and social media tools. Additionally, it involves passion and compassion for our youth.
